The Catholic Missourian was just a page on the diocesan web site which didn't allow them to fulfill their mission to inform and inspire Catholics in the region.
Now they have their own site and it's flexible and powerful and was easy to learn how to use.
Creative Circle was able to provide the team with a high-end publishing platform at a price they could afford. Among other things, the site includes a custom deployment for their local crossword puzzle, a marketplace to showcase their print ads online and a self-service calendar.
The site is driven by Creative Circle's mediasiteQ web CMS, which allows editors the ability to change the web site easily to better reflect each week's content. Making photos larger, changing the layout of the home page or switching layouts for any story is easy and non-technical.
"Typically, making a change on our sites just involves clicking on a dropdown," says Bill Ostendorf, president and founder of Creative Circle Media Solutions. "We engineered everything to be simple and something anyone can learn in just a single 30-minute training session."
That makes it perfect for Catholic papers that don't have a lot of technical support or backup.
