STEVE RUGGIERI

CONSULTANT
Steve Ruggieri joined Creative Circle Advertising Solutions as Director of Marketing in July, 2004. He had been freelancing for the company for nearly a year and was responsible for the initial design and interface development of adQ: Intelligent classifieds.

Steve spent the previous 10 years as Creative Director at the Providence-based ad agency Donnelly & Duncan, which recently merged with RDW Group, Inc., one of New England’s largest advertising and public relations firms. He was involved in developing many award-winning advertising, direct marketing, collateral materials and corporate promotions for major clients including Brown & Sharpe- a precision manufacturer and lottery giant GTECH Corporation.

He was also responsible for bringing custom publication and electronic design capabilities to the agency and art directed Brown & Sharpe’s award-winning trade magazine “mfg” which is published quarterly in five languages.

HIS NUMEROUS AWARDS include the prestigious ACE award from the New York BMA (annual report category) and three PRO/COM awards from the National BMA (logo designs, agency self-promotion and corporate promotion categories).

Steve also designed and directed many interactive CD-Rom promotions and website projects, and is especially proud of his environmental design projects – the award-winning corporate museum and exhibit for Brown & Sharpe entitled “A Measure of Perfection”, and GTECH’s “Lottery Art & Science” installation for the lobby at the company’s world headquarters.

Prior to Donnelly & Duncan, Steve enjoyed a nine-year association with GTECH Corporation, including three years as Senior Designer in the Corporate Marketing Department and six years as consulting designer and art director for the Product Marketing and Industrial Design group.

At GTECH he designed and directed major corporate projects including: events packaging (users’ conferences, international & domestic trade shows, visits of foreign & domestic industry executives and government dignitaries); corporate promotional materials; annual reports; lottery product concepts & designs; lottery game concepts and promotional campaigns for many new foreign and domestic lotteries.

To keep his creative juices flowing, Steve tries to begin each day with a 1/2 mile swim. He also spends a week each year in a cloistered Benedictine Monastery recharging his batteries and catching up on his reading.

In his spare time he teaches “Design for Advertising & Print” at RISD’s Continuing Education School, and enjoys life in the woods of Northern Rhode Island with Susan, his wife of 25 years, and their two grown children, Nicholas and Tara.
