David Fowler is the founder and CEO of ADS-UP, LLC, in Cardiff-by-the-Sea, California. The company is considered to be a world class consulting resource, enabling newspaper advertising departments to reverse ad losses, cut inefficient waste while attracting new ad revenues. His company is also in high demand for their “Advertising Power” workshops which teaches reps, artists and advertisers how to systematically create highly effective print ads.
Recently ADS-UP launched a “print ad testing service” which enables newspapers and their advertisers to test the effectiveness of their print ads using a newspaper reader focus group.
DAVID'S BEST SELLING BOOK, “Newspaper Ads That Make Sales Jump!” published in 1998, is considered by many newspaper and top advertising critics to be one of the finest “how-to” books ever published in the field of print advertising.
In 1990, David was the first ever outside consultant invited by The New York Times to create and deliver workshops for their advertisers on the topics of marketing and print advertising campaigns.
Today his company consults to many newspapers (and their advertisers) across the United States. Such papers include The Dallas Morning News, The Seattle Times, and The San Francisco Chronicle, Lee Enterprises, The San Jose Mercury News, The San Diego Union Tribune and many others.
David has judged some of the country’s largest advertising award shows and has won numerous advertising awards as well.
David holds both an M.Ed from Antioch University and a M.I.A. (Masters of International Administration) from The School for International Training.
